ESE - Engineering Services Exam 2025
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts Engineering Services Examination as a combined competitive examination for recruitment to the services or posts of Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

The exam is conducted for selection engineers for Government of India's engineering organisations, such as Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), Central Engineering Service (CES), Military Engineering Services (MES), and others.

- Last Date to Apply: 08 October, 2024
- Date of Preliminary Exam: 09 February, 2025
- Date of Main Exam: 22 June, 2025
Eligibility Criteria
Age Eligibility: You need to be between 21 years to 30 years as on 1st January of the exam year. Age relaxations exist as per the government rules.
Academic Qualification Eligibility: You must be a graduate in Engineering from a recognised university. Final year students can also appear in ESE exam.

There is penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers in the Objective Type Question Papers.
Only those candidates qualifying at Stage I are permitted to appear for Stage-II examination. Similarly, only those Candidates qualifying at Stage-I + Stage-II are permitted to appear for Stage-III examination.

Admit Card
The eligible candidates are issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination. No Admission Certificate is sent by post. You are requested to provide valid and active email id while filling up online application form as the Commission may use electronic mode for contacting you.
