CAPF - Central Police Forces (AC) Exam 2025
The Union Public Service Commission conducts written examination for recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) - Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

Eligibility Criteria
Age Eligibility: Minimum 20 years and Maximum 25 years as on 1st August of the exam year.
Academic Eligibility: A degree from a recognised University or equivalent.
Physical Standards Eligibility: You need to have minimum Physical Standards as given in the notification.
Female candidates can not apply for BSF and ITBP.
Exam Pattern

There is negative marking in Objective Type Question Paper. There are four alternatives for the answer to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given, 1/3rd (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question are deducted as penalty.
Physical and medical standards test is conducted only for those candidates who qualify the written examination. Interview for personal test is of 200 marks.
Physical Efficiency Tests (PET)
If you are declared qualified in the written examination, you will be summoned for Physical Standards / Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests. Those candidates who meet the prescribed Physical Standards will be put through the Physical Efficiency Tests.

Medical Standards Tests
Medical Standards Tests are conducted only for those candidates who are declared qualified in the Physical Efficiency Test.
Interview or Personality Test
If you are declared qualified in the Medical Standards Tests, you will be called for Interview or Personality Test.
Final Selection / Merit
The merit list is drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and Interview or Personality Test.
