The cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks approved at the written stage and marks secured by the last recommended candidate at final stage of the examination.

At the written stage, you need at least 25% marks in each subject.

Tie Principles

Wherever two or more candidates have secured equal aggregate marks the ties have been resolved in accordance with the following principles:

  1. In case of equal marks in aggregate, the candidates’ getting more marks in the written examination has been placed at higher rank.
  2. In case of equal marks in written examination also, the candidates getting more marks in General Ability Test (GAT) paper has been placed at higher rank.
  3. In case of equal marks in GAT paper, the candidates’ senior by age has been placed at higher rank.
